MBS, a growing leader in managed offsite backup and data security solutions, is pleased to announce the asset acquisition of Prime Networks, a leading professional Dental IT Integration company. The move affords both companies the opportunity to better serve existing clients by offering a more comprehensive menu of services, through a larger complement of qualified professionals who are focused on delivering the best in data security and IT services throughout the dental industry.
Founded in 1995, Prime Networks has provided professional IT services, disaster recovery services, network design and installations, digital imaging integrations, and new construction, remodeling, and relocations services to hundreds of clients in Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, New York, and Pennsylvania.
This move will afford the Prime Network client base to take advantage of the corporate and technical infrastructures that are in place at MBS and provide a streamlined customer service environment to enhance their IT needs and investments. Employees of both companies will merge and no layoffs are expected during this transition.
MBS Announces New backup software version 3.1.5.3549

Houston, tx, January 13, 2010: MBS Software Engineering Group announces further enhancements to its business class offsite backup software. The new features include the following:
-ConnectWise support added to our product offering. MBS can now have information sent directly to our technicians supporting the software. Information sent includes: the last backup time, number of successful backups, and the remote storage usage.
-Exchange Mailbox Level delete speed has been improved when selecting a mailbox to be deleted. The process has been switched to deleting in bulk and not a single message at a time.
-Messaging has been changed to remove references to Local Repository and has been replaced with Local Vault. Local Vault allows for keeping a copy of all files stored remotely on the internal network. This improves restore times by using a local NAS or external usb hard disk drive.
-Selecting files to be backed up from an external usb hard drive or usb key has been enabled.
-Certain customers reported an “Out Of Memory exception” when backing up Exchange Storage Groups with large files. This issue has been resolved in this release.
The software will be updated over the next week from the current production software version of 3.1.5.3402 to the new 3.1.5.3549. No action is needed on the users part. This update will be pushed out from the MBS servers automatically in the coming weeks.
